Kandi Burruss’s ex Russell “Block” Spencer owes her nearly $50,000 in child support, her mum Joyce claims on tonight’s The Real Housewives of Atlanta.
The figure comes up as Kandi and Joyce discuss how Block wants to be more of their daughter Riley’s life.
Last week’s RHOA episode saw Block’s new girlfriend visit Kandi to talk about how he wanted to heal his relationship with Riley.
And tonight Momma Joyce says: “I would have said, ‘did you bring the cheque?’. Because you know he owes pretty close to $50,000.”
Kandi, who is in the kitchen with her and husband Todd Tucker’s son Ace, tells her mum she doesn’t want to make it about a “money thing”.
She says: “That part doesn’t even matter to me at this point. The child support is what it is, it would be nice if he paid it.”
However Kandi adds in a confessional: “Of course I can take care of Riley, but I still think as her father he should do his part.”
She also accuses Block of lying about how much he had in court, adding: “Now he doesn’t even pay that? It’s like, ‘come on Dog, what is the problem?’.”
Back in the kitchen, Momma Joyce gives her opinion saying she thinks people take advantage of Kandi because she always tries to be “sweet”.
But she then lays down the law, telling her daughter in no uncertain terms: “He is going to pay it, else he just do like he been doing — keep his ass away!”
Also on tonight’s The Real Housewives of Atlanta, Phaedra tries to unite the group behind her foundation helping people in Flint, Michigan, by taking them to laser tag.
But things don’t go quite to plan when Kenya Moore and Shereé Whitfield fail to see eye to eye once again.
Meanwhile, Cynthia Bailey’s daughter models for the first time, Sheree is taken out on a romantic date by Bob, and Kandi gets a phone call out of the blue which she struggles to deal with.
The Real Housewives of Atlanta airs Sundays at 8/7c on Bravo.
