Eddie Judge has been a staple on The Real Housewives of Orange County for a few years now. Recently, RHOC fans have been worried about Tamra Judge’s husband after a string of health problems.
The health struggles Eddie Judge has endured this year have not been a secret. Things have been happening to him, some of them pretty scary. Tamra Judge has reached out on social media and asked for prayers as the couple navigates his health journey.
When Eddie Judge realized that something was off with his heart rate while exercising, he went and got checked. It was determined that Tamra’s husband was suffering from atrial fibrillation, which is an irregular or rapid heartbeat and would need to be treated.
Left untreated, atrial fibrillation can increase the risk of stroke, heart failure, and other heart-related health complications. The doctors have done cardioversions and an ablation on him in order to correct Eddie’s heartbeat.
Back in December, Tamra Judge announced the first procedure on Instagram. Eddie Judge has been undergoing procedures since then.
June was his most recent procedure, bringing the total to five. That was hopefully the end of the journey, though Tamra hasn’t said much more about things.
Judge essentially had to shock his heart back to normal and the ablation created some scar tissue on his heart. All of this was necessary to get Eddie back to where he needed to be.
This journey for both Eddie and Tamra Judge will be documented on the current season of The Real Housewives of Orange County. Even though he appeared to be in excellent shape, the reality of the situation was clearly weighing on both parties. Working out is Eddie’s thing and he wants to get back to normal.
Currently, Eddie Judge is working on getting off his heart medication after having a fifth procedure back in June.
