Farrah Abraham has been making headlines for years now — including from her time on Teen Mom, and due to her adult business ventures. But is she facing financial strain?
Since being fired from the MTV show in October 2017, her Instagram — as well as paparazzi photos — have shown her vacationing all over the world, enjoying time with her young daughter, Sophia Abraham.
However, some reports claim the reality star has actually been feeling the pinch in recent months.
While the claims may be unsubstantiated, Farrah’s finances are certainly in the spotlight after reports of two lawsuits against her.
Boxing match bail
In November 2018, a celebrity boxing match was set to take place with Farrah fighting Nicole “Hoopz” Alexander; however, Farrah later pulled out.
The match’s promoter, Damon Feldman, is now suing Abraham for $12,000 — and claims the reality star told him she was “broke”.
In an interview, he alleges that the former Teen Mom OG star “begged” him for $2,500 just days before the match. She’d reportedly already received $2,500 upon signing a contract for the event, and was set to receive the additional sum on the day of the match.
Feldman said: “She needed the money so bad, so I sent her the next $2,500 in cash because she couldn’t accept a check. She said she was broke, and was in tears, and said, ‘Please, I’m getting kicked out of my house.’”
For her part, Farrah claims she pulled out because Feldman lied to her.
Money troubles?
In recent months, Farrah’s frozen yogurt business shut down (although she claimed she was going to start selling the products in grocery stores), and her self promotion appeared to have become less regular.
There has also been another lawsuit filed, in addition to the one by Damon Feldman — from a former lawyer.
However, despite what some may view as a series of setbacks, it looks like even if Farrah was struggling for cash — she probably isn’t any more. It was reported Farrah was paid $300,000 for her appearance on Ex on the Beach.
