Baby Daly has arrived! Kenya Moore and Marc Daly are celebrating the early arrival of their baby girl just hours after letting fans know that she was on her way soon.
Kenya and Marc’s daughter is named Brooklyn Doris Daly and according to E! News, weighs 5 lbs 12 ounces.
It turns out that the pair had the baby’s name picked out for several months even though Kenya and Marc opted to wait until delivery day to find out if they were having a boy or girl.
“My cousin actually said it at a family function once. Marc and I both looked at each other and we were both like, ‘Oh my God! That’s an amazing name,” Kenya told E! about choosing their baby name. “It means so much to us. It has great significance to us.”
Kenya talked further about her new daughter’s name and why it’s so special to her and Marc Daly. She told People, “Brooklyn because that’s where we met and fell in love, and Doris after my grandmother who passed away last year and who raised me.”
Kenya has been keeping fans updated on her pregnancy as it reached the end, even letting everyone know that due to preeclampsia, she would likely give birth early and that’s exactly what happened.
On October 27, Kenya Moore shared news with her fans that she had tested positive for preeclampsia after gaining 17 pounds in one week. The condition can be serious, causing increased blood pressure, swelling and fluid retention.
This is the first child for Kenya, who is 47 years old. Congratulations to Kenya and Marc!
