The last season of Love & Hip Hop: Hollywood was a messy one for Teairra Mari, who spent much of it battling a sex tape that she claims her ex-boyfriend Akbar Abdul-Ahad released. 50 Cent was involved after he posted stills from the tape on Instagram, something that Teairra sued him for sharing.
Teairra Mari accused her ex-boyfriend of logging into her Instagram account and posting a private video and still image of her as revenge.
She claims Akbar wanted her to participate in a reality show about living a polyamorous lifestyle, something we saw him doing on the last season of Love & Hip Hop: Hollywood.
When Teairra refused to give Akbar what he wanted, she says he took to social media to humiliate her.
Why was 50 Cent sued?
It was only after Teairra took down the shocking images that she claims Akbar’s friend 50 Cent then reposted one of the photos and even added a filter to it.
50 Cent argued that he reposted a photo that had already been widely shared. Not only that but he also pointed out that the photo featured Teairra’s face and did not reveal breasts, buttocks or any sexual organs.
Now, 50 Cent has been exonerated after a Los Angeles judge dismissed the claims against him. Making matters worse for the Love & Hip Hop star, Teairra Mari was also ordered to pay at least part of 50 Cent’s legal fees.
Initially, 50 Cent asked the judge to force Teairra to pay his entire legal bill in the amount of $161,660.15, according to The Blast. She got off easy when it was decided she would have to cough up $30,618.
50 Cent trolls Teairra Mari
After the ruling, it didn’t take long for 50 Cent to continue mocking Teairra Mari on Instagram. The rapper posted a screenshot from an article announcing that his case was thrown out with a message for Teairra.
“Now Teairra you can cough up the money or ?you can go with R.Kelly and s**t in a bucket. LOL,” 50 Cent wrote, referencing the recent docu-series that
Teairra Mari hasn’t commented on the lawsuit or 50 Cent’s latest post about her on social media.
