Now that we know who voices Forky in the upcoming Toy Story 4 movies, Disney/Pixar has announced some of the stars lending their voices for Pixar Animation Studios next big project, Outcast.
The cast is set to include Chris Pratt, Julia Louis-Dreyfus, Tom Holland and Octavia Spencer. The news was announced in a press release where director Dan Scanlon and producer Kori Rae made it clear they couldn’t be happier with the casting.
All four actors have worked with Disney in the past. Julia Louis-Dreyfus once played the Blue Fairy for the TV movie Geppetto (2000) but is probably more proud of her work voicing Princess Atta for A Bug’s Life (1998). “There is no one funnier than Julia,” said Scanlon, “but she also brings a warmth and loving side to her character.”
Of course, Chris Pratt is known for his role as Star-Lord in the Guardians of the Galaxy movies, a Marvel Studios film which is owned by Disney. “Chris brings equal parts huge heart and fantastic humor to his character,” said Rae.
Also in the Marvel universe is Tom Holland aka Spider-Man. “Tom has an infectious charm and sincerity that makes you root for him in every character he plays,” said Scanlon.
And this isn’t Octavia Spencer first time to voice an animated character either. The Instant Family actress voiced Mrs. Otterton for the Zootopia in 2016. “Octavia can do it all,” said Rae. “We’re especially excited about the depth as well as humor that she brings to her character.”
We’re thrilled to reveal that our next original feature, “Onward,” starring Chris Pratt, Tom Holland, Julia Louis-Dreyfus, and Octavia Spencer, arrives in theatres March 6, 2020! #PixarOnward pic.twitter.com/Dup9lDQysB

According the studio, Onward tells the tale of two teenage elf brothers who go on a journey to see if there is any magic to be found out there. The film is somewhat of a personal project for Scanlon, who said: “At Pixar we try to create stories that come from some kind of personal truth.”
“This film was inspired by my own relationship with my brother.”
Don’t run out and try to purchase tickets just yet. Onward isn’t expected to hit theaters until March 6, 2020.
