Garth Brooks surprised everyone, including his wife Trisha Yearwood, with a special performance of his new song, Stronger Than Me, at the CMAs last night.

It was written in dedication to her, and he performed it with a spotlight shining on her in the front row throughout.

It was the first time that fans had heard the song, including Trisha, who quickly got teary-eyed during the performance — but when is it going to be released?

When will Stronger Than Me be released and where?

According to a PopCulture interview with Garth Brooks yesterday, the song should be available for download today. However, at the time of writing the song had not yet been released.

Brooks never used to have his songs on music streaming music services, revealing he didn’t like how fans can buy a single song instead of the whole album.

He used to ask fans to use GhostTunes to get his music, but that site has since shut down. Amazon Music appears to be the most up-to-date place for his albums after he signed an exclusive streaming deal with them back in 2016.

As for the performance itself, fans were quick to praise the song and how romantic it was.

“It was a cool moment. I didn’t cry, so I was happy about that,” Brooks told Taste of Country after the performance.

“If you’re married, there are points in your life you never get across. You both just get to this point where you argue and argue and you just get exhausted and you’re done and that’s kind of our way,” he explained about the song.

“We have two or three points in our life like that. That song addressed two of those three points. So I noticed when I looked up at her at those points, she was kind of laughing, smiling and crying at the same time. So this song is going to actually make our relationship better, whether it does anything in the business or not.”

In the interview with PopCulture, he revealed that no one had heard the song before and that the CMAs actually didn’t want to go along with his plan at first. They later changed their minds, allowing him to perform the new unheard song.

“The queen and I are going to be there. We don’t know what we’re doing yet because the whole thing was, between you and me, there’s a song that we cut about two months ago,” he revealed. “Me and the five guys and the engineer. We won’t play it for anybody else. It’s a song, you’re not going to believe it’s written by guys. It’s a song about the strength of a woman. And for me, it’s stressful, it’s tough.”

As for Trisha Yearwood, she was more than thrilled about the song. After the performance, she tweeted that it meant everything to her and that she loved her husband.
