Dallas rapper Yella Beezy was shot eight times early Sunday morning, according to reports.
The That’s On Me rapper was said to have been traveling in a vehicle on a highway when the incident took place.
At least twelve shots were reported to have been fired, with Yella Beezy said to have been hit eight times.

Yella is said to have survived the attack before being taken to hospital. His current condition is unknown.
The reported shooting came just hours after comedian Roylee Pate, who previously had beef with Yella Beezy, passed away.
Two weeks ago, Roylee Pate was shot in the foot, leading to his death on Saturday from a blood clot in his lung.

His single That’s On Me receives regular radio play in the Dallas area and beyond. The song, which became a local summer anthem, recently went gold.
Some have linked the story about his death to a police report from last night which reveals how a 26-year old man was shot on Highway 121 on the Sam Rayburn Tollway in Lewisville around 3:30 am.
The vehicle was traveling along the highway when another vehicle pulled up alongside them, unloading 12 rounds into the moving vehicle.
The victim’s identity was identified as Deandre Conway. Yella Beezy’s real name is not known.
Lewisville Police revealed to Monsters and Critics that they have no current suspects.
