Terry Bradshaw is an NFL hall of famer and one of the most recognizable faces in football, but will he also be a Grammy winner?
Bradshaw has been performing for years with the award-winning singing family The Isaacs, whose style has been described as a mix of bluegrass, folk, rhythm and blues and southern gospel.
It turns out that Bradshaw has already been nominated for a Gospel Grammy for his work with The Isaacs back in 2016. He executive produced and even sang on the last track of Nature’s Symphony in 432.
Now, The Isaacs are nominated again in the Gospel/Contemporary Christian category. They picked up a 2019 Grammy nomination for Best Roots Gospel Album for their latest work, Favorites: Revisited by Request and while Terry Bradshaw’s contribution isn’t clear, we’ve learned that he did take a part in the making of the album.
On FOX NFL Sunday, Charissa Thompson mentioned the Grammy nom and Terry Bradshaw’s part in it. Bradshaw, sheepish about the attention for his musical participation, thanked Charissa for the congratulations and quickly moved on.
The clip was shared on The Isaacs’ official Instagram page, thanking Fox Sports and Terry Bradshaw for the on-air shout out and also bringing attention to Bradshaw’s contribution to their Grammy-nominated music.
While talking about current sports honors, Charissa asked Terry if the Grammy nomination news she heard was true. He responded, “Who told you that?” To which she responded, “The internet.”
“Is it true?” Charissa asked.
“Yeah, it’s true!” Bradshaw confirmed. “It is true…for gospel.” Then, Bradshaw, who typically doesn’t hold back, admitted that the sudden congratulations threw him off. He clearly wasn’t prepared to speak about his success in music on Sunday’s football broadcast.
That didn’t stop the internet from talking about Terry Bradshaw’s Gospel Grammy nomination. In fact, Twitter is buzzing after learning that the NFL hall of famer is also very musically inclined.
Did any one else see Terry Bradshaw get really awkward when asked about his Grammy nom?

Football legend Terry Bradshaw nominated for a Grammy #Gospel. Apparently none of his colleagues knew and he’s so humble he didn’t even want to talk about it while on the air. #Steelers

This sounds really weird, but does Terry Bradshaw get enough credit for being a ‘do it all’ man? Dude plays some small, but funny roles in movies. Pretty good analyst. Now nominated for a Grammy. Oh yea, he was a pretty good QB that won some Super Bowls too… #nflonfox

For years, Bradshaw has been performing with The Isaacs and there are many videos of the performances to prove it. The group often performs at big churches, and in many cases the NFL star has been right there with them on stage.
The Isaacs began singing 35 years ago and the group is comprised of Lily Isaacs, who is the mother of Ben Isaacs, Sonya Isaacs Yeary and Rebecca Isaacs Bowman, who round out the group.
If Terry Bradshaw and The Isaacs end up winning that Grammy, maybe the NFL icon will be willing to talk more about his music on-air. We’ll just have to wait and see. The 61st Annual Grammy Awards ceremony will be held on February 10, 2019, at Staples Center in Los Angeles, California.
