Derick Dillard is doubling down nearly a month after he shaded father-in-law, Jim Bob Duggar. There has been some back-and-forth regarding why the Dillards aren’t filming Counting On and what the network and the Duggar patriarch have to do with it.
Social media has been a sounding board for Derick Dillard. He airs his grievances on the platform, and sometimes it doesn’t end well. The former Counting On star was vocal about Jazz Jennings and called out TLC for allowing the program to air.
With that, it appeared the network decided to cut ties with Derick and Jill Duggar.
Last month, Derick Dillard started responding to tweets regarding his relationship with TLC and Jim Bob Duggar. He insinuated that his father-in-law delegates who gets paid what and who will and won’t film.
That isn’t entirely true, though. TLC will not work with Josh Duggar in any capacity. He cannot film with the family or appear on Counting On at all due to the scandal that broke in 2015.
His wife and kids, however, are allowed to appear.
In continuation of what Derick Dillard commented on last month about Jim Bob Duggar, he revealed that the patriarch does the negotiating for everyone without telling anyone.
The speculation has been heavy that he rules the roost, and even the grown children still respect him, so not many viewers were shocked to read what Dillard said.

He also revealed that Counting On didn’t want him and Jill Duggar to quit filming, but they wouldn’t discuss anything with them directly.
Given the amount of information he is giving on social media, it will be interesting to see if Jim Bob Duggar will comment in return.
It is unlikely the Duggar patriarch will air dirty laundry, but followers and viewers of the show want to see where this goes next.
