The CMA Country Music Awards took place tonight and Ashley McBryde won the New Artist of the Year award.

Ashley McBryde is a 36-year-old country singer and songwriter who released an album via Road Life Records in 2016. She then released her major-label debut Girl Going Nowhere in 2018 via Warner Music Nashville.
She then released her single “A Little Dive Bar in Dahlonega” to critical acclaim.
Girl Going Nowhere shot up the charts, hitting No. 49 on the Billboard mainstream charts, seventh on the U.S. Country charts and fourth on the U.K. Country charts.
Her debut single, “A Little Dive Bar in Dahlonega” peaked at No. 30 on both the U.S. Country and U.S. Country Airplay charts. In 2018, “Radioland” never charted and then in 2019 “Girl Goin’ Nowhere,” the single, peaked at No. 40 on the U.S. Country Airplay chart.
She also released a single this year titled “One Night Standards.”
What all has Ashley McBryde won this year?
This has been a big year for Ashley McBryde. She not only won the CMA award for New Artist of the Year tonight, but that was just the latest win.
Earlier this year, she walked into the ACM Awards with two nominations and won the New Female Vocalist of the Year award. The other nomination was impressive as she was up for the Female Vocalist of the Year award.
She then went into the CMT Music Awards and won the Breakthrough Video of the Year award for “Girl Goin’ Nowhere.”
At the 2019 Grammy Awards, she picked up a nomination for the Best Country Album award, which was huge for her major-label debut.
She also had a surprising moment when she picked up a nomination at the Daytime Emmy Awards for Outstanding Musical Performance in a Daytime Program. This was for her performance on CBS This Morning Saturday.
