Is this the end for Jorge Nava on 90 Day Fiance: Happily Ever After? Anfisa Arkhipchenko’s husband reportedly pleaded guilty to marijuana possession charges after being caught with almost 300 pounds of the sticky icky back in February.
Jorge was busted in Arizona, a state that doesn’t play around when it comes to lawbreakers. Does that mean he’s headed off to do hard time or will Jorge get a slap on the wrist?
Initially, Jorge was looking at up to 12 years in prison, which would have ended his run on 90 Day Fiance and probably his marriage to Anfisa too. However, Jorge reportedly took a plea deal and rather than copping to a class 2 felony, which would have carried mandatory jail time, he confessed to what amounts to a class 4 felony, which could make Jorge’s punishment less severe.
Don’t expect any of this to be discussed on the Season 3 tell-all of 90 Day Fiance: Happily Ever After? Apparently, Nava’s looming legal problem was only discussed as far as David bringing it up and Anfisa giving him the finger.
Speaking of Anfisa, she’s been incredibly supportive of Jorge post-pot bust. That could be due to the fact that she was the one pressuring Jorge to give her more money and buy her nice things. Did Anfisa’s selfishness push Jorge to break the law for love?
Jorge heads back to the Mohave County Superior Court on September 7 for sentencing. Don’t expect him to head off to prison though. Rumor has it that he’ll be on probation for a long time but that he probably won’t be spending any more time behind bars.
90 Day Fiance: Happily Ever After? airs on Sundays at 8/7c on TLC.
