Nicole Nafziger moved to Morocco so she could marry Azan Tefou and bring him back to the US. After a recording of Azan surfaced, Nicole started to question Azan’s motives more than ever and ultimately, the 90 Day Fiance star decided to call off the wedding.
News of the canceled 90 Day Fiance wedding came by way of Radar Online. They spoke with Nicole’s stepfather, Joe Foraker, who spilled the beans on the nixed nuptials. While he didn’t say anything about the cheating scandal, Foraker did say that “the timing wasn’t right.”
Whether or not the time will ever be right is still up in the air. Although Joe is happy that Nicole didn’t marry Azan yet, there’s still a possibility that she might.
“Is she going back to get married? I don’t know,” Joe shared. “She still talks to him. I think she still intends to go back. The wedding dress is still there.”
Nicole’s stepfather also shared that she stayed in Morocco with Azan for six months before heading back to Florida. Now home, she’s living in a mobile home with her sister. He did confirm that Nicole’s daughter is back living with her after she left the girl home so she could live abroad with Azan.
Is anyone really surprised that Nicole and Azan’s wedding isn’t happening as planned? It’s clear that Nicole really wanted it, probably more than Azan did.
Over and over we’ve watched Azan tear Nicole down and constantly comment on her weight and lack of fitness. He loves the gym and wants a fit partner. She couldn’t be less interested and the constant clash, not to mention his admission that he’s only partially attracted to her, was proof that Nicole and Azan are not well matched.
Like other families connected to 90 Day Fiance, Nicole’s family feared that Azan was just using her to get to the US and for money. On the last episode, Nicole admitted to giving Azan more and more money.
After all, he is currently unemployed after having been fired from the hotel where he worked. He said on 90 Day Fiance that once in the US, he was hoping to work in a gym because that is what he loved. Why not work in a gym in Morocco? Clearly, they have gyms there and if he could find employment in one, maybe Nicole wouldn’t have to continue sending him money.
In addition to confirming that Nicole called the wedding off over bad timing, Joe made it clear that she still might marry Azan. Nicole’s wedding dress is still in Morocco even though she is not.
90 Day Fiance: Happily Ever After? airs on Sundays at 8 p.m. EST on TLC.
