Big Brother has had a lot of crazy things happen but a robot as a houseguest is definitely at the top of the list. Season 20 promised fans to expect the unexpected, and that is exactly what they got.
The robot is actually Sam Bledsoe. She is the welder from Virginia. During the first competition, she ended up in last place, causing Big Brother to hand down a punishment.
While the other houseguests waited for Sam to return to the house following the competition, they were discussing what they think the punishment might be. Kaycee Clark ended up last in her group for the competition and she returned wearing a unitard.
Sam returned to the house as a robot. This was shocking and a bit odd. She is sitting in another room outside of the house but can see everything through a camera on the robot. In fact, she can even talk to the houseguests as well.
Being a robot seems like a huge problem for Sam, especially because her feelings have been hurt. Her punishment lasts a week, and there are times when she is able to return to the Big Brother house. If Big Brother calls “robot offline,” the robot reports to the diary room and Sam emerges. The scenario is flipped when the call for “robot online” happens.
Not only was Sam nominated for eviction this week, she also didn’t win the Power of Veto competition either. She was awarded the safety Big Brother 20 fans voted on last week. If the votes don’t fall in her favor Thursday night, she can save herself.
Stay tuned all summer long because Big Brother is just getting started.
Big Brother 20 airs on Sundays and Wednesdays at 8/7 and Thursdays at 9/8c on CBS.
