At today’s long series of panels for the Television Critics Association summer press tour, actor Bob Odenkirk of AMC’s drama Better Call Saul came on stage while series announcements were being read to show off his “new tattoo.” Then he promptly unbuckled his pants and revealed a Better Call Saul tatt on his left butt cheek.
Better Call Saul‘s new season is now Jimmy’s path to becoming Saul in the wake of Chuck McGill’s suicide. The season 4 date was announced as August 6th and a season 5 renewal was also announced.
The saga of Saul Goodman, aka slippin’ Jimmy, continues as we mourned his brother Chuck’s (Michael McKean) suicide death and see how Saul is drawn to Gus Fring (Giancarlo Esposito) who we first met in Breaking Bad.
It appears our Jimmy is on the road to the beginnings of Breaking Bad as AMC’s prequel series picks back up in the aftermath of Chuck’s demise and funeral.
Now, the road for Jimmy all seems to lead up to his meeting and work with Gus Fring (Giancarlo Esposito) via Mike Ehrmantraut (Jonathan Banks).
The Season 5 pickup announced during AMC’s portion of the Television Critics Association summer press tour was met with great enthusiasm to the organization of critics that has lauded awards on Better Call Saul’s showrunners who crafted the prequel after the series Breaking Bad swept so many awards and accolades as well.
In addition, AMC announced the Season 5 renewal for Walking Dead spinoff, Fear the Walking Dead, and a Season 2 renewal for McMafia.
Better Call Saul season 4 premiere airs Monday, Aug. 6, at 9/8c on AMC.
