A Million Little Things has taken the television lineup by storm. There was a lot of hype surrounding the ABC drama and after the mid-season finale, viewers are left with more questions than answers.
Maggie (Allison Miller) came on to the scene in a very non-traditional way. She was a part of a support group for breast cancer where Gary (James Roday) also happened to be. After they hooked up, he brought her with him to Delilah’s (Stephanie Szostak) house after the service for Jon (Ron Livingston).
Decisions need to be made
Much of Maggie’s storyline centers around her cancer being back. There has been a lot of back and forth surrounding whether she will begin chemo again even though she has made it clear she is ready to die.
Gary desperately wanted her to go through with treatment and the mid-season finale revealed that is exactly what she is doing.
Will Maggie die on A Million Little Things?
The previews from A Million Little Things show Gary shocked and talking about someone who is gone. Obviously, that has left viewers wondering if Maggie is going to die. She collapses and after that, it is unclear what happens.
While killing Maggie off is a possibility, it is unlikely. She is the biggest part of Gary’s storyline and without her, there isn’t a huge need for him on screen.
He has already proclaimed his love for her and the reaction he had when he learned she was doing the chemo was nothing short of happiness.
Is Maggie leaving the show?
At this point, it looks like Allison Miller will be sticking around as Maggie for at least a little while longer. She definitely is trying to get healthy and pursue something with Gary and despite the collapse shown on the preview it looks like she will
Killing off Maggie would be a bad decision for A Million Little Things. Watching as she battles the disease she was ready to succumb to may be enough to snap Gary back into reality and fight for a real relationship with a woman he loves in the wake of his friend’s suicide.
There has not been an official announcement about the status of Allison Miller as Maggie on A Million Little Things as of yet. The show will return in January with a new night and time, sitting in the coveted TGIT (Thank God It’s Thursday) slot.
