Jacquline Laurita decided that her time on The Real Housewives of New Jersey was coming to an end after returning briefly to set the record straight and to see if she could make peace with Teresa Giudice. Sadly, it didn’t go as expected and Laurita felt she had done what she could.
Jacqueline was one of the original cast members of The Real Housewives of New Jersey, filming the first five seasons and returning for Season 7. Throughout Season 6, she appeared as a friend of the wives.
Since leaving the show, Laurita has focused on her son, Nicholas, who was diagnosed with autism when she was filming the series In the spring of 2018, Laurita made headlines as she decided to go public with the story that her son had been kicked out of a public library because he was being loud.
She used this opportunity to share the challenges she goes through raising a boy who has autism. Within a few days, she also revealed that she had met with both the mayor and the Library Board to make changes so that everyone felt included and welcome at their branches.
It seems that Jacqueline and her husband, Chris, are doing great. She shared some fun family photos recently, revealing just how big her sons are getting. Her daughter, Ashlee, was not included in the photos.
Speaking of Ashlee, she got married to Pete Malleo. The proposal was featured on The Real Housewives of New Jersey, but the wedding turned out to be a low-key affair. Ashlee and Pete decided get married at the City Clerk’s office in Manhattan.
Jacqueline is the grandmother to little Cameron Malleo, the son of Ashlee and Pete Malleo. No word on whether they plan on expanding their family.
Jacqueline Laurita has never addressed her supposed financial issues. Throughout her time on The Real Housewives of New Jersey, Jacqueline was often plagued with questions about her husband’s business dealings. According to a 2017 report from NJ.com, Laurita and her husband faced foreclosure on their New Jersey mansion.
The couple had previously managed to put a foreclosure behind them. They had tried to sell their home to deal with unforeseen financial issues, but were unable to sell for the desired price. Her husband, Chris, has faced a bankruptcy case for years, something that has been a hot topic on The Real Housewives of New Jersey.
Even though Laurita has only been off the show for a few years, Teresa Giudice seems to be done with her. She recently visited Andy Cohen on Watch What Happens Live, where she pretended to not know who Jacqueline was. She then claimed that Jacqueline would come back to the show, because she needs money.
The Real Housewives of New Jersey airs Wednesdays at 9/8c on Bravo.
