The Righteous Gemstones premiered on HBO last night and introduced the world to the very rich, very corrupt Gemstone family of televangelists. While the key Gemstone family members were familiar faces, the character of Johnny Seasons was also familiar to a lot of people.
However, a search of IMDb does not show a Johnny Seasons and many fans wondered where they knew this actor from.
Here is a look at who the actor is that plays Johnny Seasons and how his character plays into the new HBO series.
Johnny Seasons on The Righteous Gemstones
For fans who watched the season premiere of The Righteous Gemstones, Johnny Seasons was the character that Eli Gemstone clashed with both in a meeting in a church as well as at lunch on a Sunday afternoon.
Johnny Seasons was a local preacher in the town where the Gemstones were building their new massive church — the man who believed they were conmen trying to steal the congregations from the real preachers in the area.
It is with Johnny Seasons and Jesse Gemstone that the idea of a mobster-themed televangelist show starts to form.
See, Jesse believes that Johnny is the man who is blackmailing him and sets out to teach him a lesson before the preacher blasts a gunshot into the gut of one of Jesse’s friends, sending the older Gemstone son running.
But who is the actor who plays Johnny Seasons?
