Kelly Rowland and her personal trainer Mr Shut Up and Train get the contestants to hone their A-game on The Rap Game tonight — by teaching them about stamina.
The young rappers are stunned when they turn up to a gym and find the R&B legend and her trainer standing there with host Jermaine Dupri.
They all shuffle in timidly with Jermain joking: “You’re all walking slow like you’re all nervous or something!”
Recalling the moment he first saw her, contestant Nova says: “Standing there is KELLY ROWLAND! I was like, oh it’s KELLY! But I didn’t show it because I didn’t want to be like ‘aaaaaargh!'”
The kids are then put through their paces at the gym, rapping as they go to build up their stamina.
The exercise prepares them for a super-tough Catch the Beat challenge set by Jermaine — where they have to keep rapping to a constantly changing beat without stopping.
But not everyone finds it easy…
The Rap Game airs Fridays at 10/9c on Lifetime.
