Two Married at First Sight spinoffs were announced recently at the TCAs. One will help MAFS singles with a second chance at love and the other, Married at First Sight: Happily Ever After will document the lives of three couples that made it successfully through the process and remained married.
MAFS has been successful in creating happy marriages for some of the couples they created over the years so it makes sense that a spinoff would showcase them. In the newest series announced by Kinetic Content. those appearing on Married at First Sight: Happily Ever After will put their relationships back on camera, allowing viewers to see “the good, the bad, and the ugly.”
Among the three couples chosen to appear on the new Married at First Sight spinoff are Season 6 favorites, Shawniece and Jephte, who are currently expecting their first child together. Happily Ever After will showcase the couple’s journey to becoming parents and allow viewers a better look at their relationship.
Lifetime did not disclose which other two couples would round out the cast but there aren’t too many to choose from. Still married couples who may appear on the MAFS spinoff include Cortney and Jason from Season 1, Jamie and Doug from Season 1, or Ashley and Anthony from Season 5.
Like the other MAFS spinoff, Married at First Sight: Honeymoon Island, Happily Ever After will be 8 episodes long and premiere in the fall of 2018.
An actual release date has not been announced, but we will share that information once it is available.
