The Real Housewives of Potomac has a feisty new housewife this season — Monique Samuels.
Monique is married to former NFL star Chris Samuels, who played as offensive tackle for the Washington Redskins from 2000 to 2009 and was a six-time Pro Bowl selection.
But Monique is a money-maker in her own right, with a whole lot of strings to her bow.
She manages all of Chris’s businesses, including CRS Real Estate, Chris Samuels Enterprises, and the Chris Samuels Foundation.
But she’s also managed to somehow find the time to complete a business degree from the University of Alabama.
And on top of that (and helping look after the couple’s two kids, Christopher, five and Milani, one), she also runs a blog on Facebook appropriately called Not for Lazy Moms.
On it she shares tips and prompts discussion on holistic and natural remedies for both children and adults.
Monique grew up in Pleasantville, NJ, and was a tomboy when she was younger, learning a lot about being independent and the practical side of life (like how to fix a car!) from her father.
She was the salutatorian of her graduating class and then went to study at Duquesne University in Pittsburgh on a full scholarship.
She went on to pursue a career in music before meeting Chris in Washington D.C. through a mutual friend and going on to help him run his businesses.
The pair have four homes! Personality-wise, Monique is super-smart — and doesn’t hold back when it comes to saying what she thinks.
She will be a great addition to The Real Housewives of Potomac!
You can find out more about Monique by following her Instagram, and her Twitter. She also has her own website, which she’s soon set to expand.
The Real Housewives of Potomac airs Sundays at 9/8c on Bravo.
