Narcos Season 4 is a reset as the series explores how the drug cartels rose in Mexico. This means that Pedro Pascal will not return as Javier Pena. Instead, the series will have a brand-new cast with Diego Luna as the Mexican cartel head boss Miguel Félix Gallardo.
As a standalone installment to the Narcos franchise, you don’t have to watch the previous seasons to know what’s going on.
Narcos Season 4 release date
Narcos: Mexico will be available in the US, UK, and other countries on November 16, 2018, on Netflix. All 10 episodes will be released on the air date. The binge-worthy series will be set in the 1980’s and will chronical the rise of the Guadalajara cartel.
Narcos: Mexico final trailer and what to expect
The final trailer teases a showdown between undercover DEA agent Kiki Camarena, who is portrayed by Michael Pena and Gallardo. As with the previous seasons, there will be very little creative license as the series will mirror the real-life events, which took place during the rise of the Guadalajara drug cartel.
