Say Yes to the Dress is back! The Kleinfeld crew returns to action for Season 17 on Saturday, January 5, ready to assist brides-to-be as they peruse racks of Pninas and Lazaros in search of the perfect wedding dress for the biggest day of their lives.
The new season includes a bride who claims to have been royalty in a past life (and Randy’s reaction to that claim), a reality TV star, a bride who wants to look like a “classy supervillain,” and a bride who’s a social media maven (and also happens to be related to a famous basketball player), as well as a “bionic model,” among many others.
Also be on the lookout for Randy to make the dreams of a little girl with cancer come true (fair warning: tissues were needed just from the preview below).
As always, each bride has an entourage of friends and family in tow to provide tough love and brutal honesty regarding the bride’s vision and appearance. But one thing’s for sure – Randy and all the other assistants won’t rest until every bride walks out of Kleinfeld satisfied and, hopefully, saying yes to the dress.
A new spin-off also brings us a familiar face from last season of SYTTD. You may remember Cami Li, the bride who came to Kleinfeld in search of a dress “as black as her soul,” much to the sheer horror of her mother. Well, she’s back! No, not because she’s already divorced and in need of another dress, but because she and her new husband are in search of a home!
You can catch a sneak peek of Say Yes to the Nest at 10 p.m. on January 5 on HGTV. The show is from the same production team as Say Yes to the Dress (hence the name) and will follow newlyweds as they embark on their next big journey together after they say “I do” — home ownership.
As the couple searches for their first home together, they’ll get a crash course on the tricky art of compromise, their relationship dynamics, and what “happily ever after” really means to each of them.
