StartUp season 3 was released on November 1, 2018, on Sony Crackle, but fans of the crime thriller are already wondering whether there will be a fourth season. Currently, two of the seasons are available on Amazon Prime.
The third season was renewed a month and a half after the second season premiered. The second season was added to Sony Crackle on September 28, 2017, and the third season got the green light in mid-November of that year. If this pattern holds, the fourth season wouldn’t be announced until the end of the year.
Given it’s the holidays in late December, it wouldn’t be surprising if the decision is pushed until January. The show first premiered in September 2016, so the fourth season would most likely air in 2019.
Bustle is guessing that a fourth season is very likely, especially since the show has become a hit at Sony Crackle. At the height of the show’s second season, Sony had viewers from over 50 countries worldwide.
The show also has an impressive list of actors, including Martin Freeman, Adam Brody, Otmara Marrero, Edi Gathegi, Kristen Ariza, Ron Perlman, and Addison Timlin.
StartUp is about the emergence of GenCoin, following in the popularity of digital currency. However, where there is money, there’s greed, and the show follows a banker, a crooked FBI agent, and a Haitian-American gang lord all trying to get their own version of the American dream through organized crime.
You can see the official trailer of the third season below. No word on when the third season will be available on Amazon Prime, and at the moment, Sony Crackle is only available in the US and Australia for free, with the service being pulled in Canada earlier this year.
At this point, there’s a good chance that StartUp will be renewed for a fourth season. You can expect news of the show’s possible fourth season to be revealed in January 2019.
