The Survivor: Island of the Idols jury just increased by two people on Wednesday night. It was a jam-packed episode, with a huge twist sending two Survivor 39 cast members to a rather large jury pool.
Host Jeff Probst presented the game twist right before the latest Immunity Challenge, revealing two people would gain safety, but also that two people would be going to the jury by the end of the night.
Aaron Meredith and Missy Byrd became the new members of the Survivor jury, meaning they will each have votes on the season finale on who should leave with the $1 million prize.
This means there are now five members of the jury, with nine people still alive in the game. The next episode is going to seem a lot different, though, as Aaron and Missy weren’t the biggest targets left in the primary tribe.
After being eliminated with only two votes at Tribal Council, Jack opens up about the risks he and his allies could've taken to save his game. Read his exclusive interview now: https://t.co/kpOuLBqkAR #Survivor pic.twitter.com/lRvtKweoGf

We are now in a countdown to the season finale and reunion show for the Season 39 cast. It’s all scheduled to take place on Wednesday, December 18. For that night, Survivor will control all three hours of programming for CBS.
It’s been an exciting season, even though things have been done a bit differently with this cast and presentation. No matter how good it has been, though, people are already looking forward to the Season 40 premiere.
The Season 40 release date has also been revealed, so it’s hard not to look ahead. With all of the interesting names that are part of the Survivor 40 cast, it’s also hard not to think about who has what it takes to become the ultimate survivor.
First, it’s time to work toward the Season 39 finale, and next Wednesday’s episode will take it one step closer.
Survivor airs Wednesday nights at 8/7c on CBS.
