The Chicago Fire cast almost lost three members during the latest episode. Chloe, played by Kristen Gutoskie and the girlfriend of Cruz, was in a bad car accident that served as one of the main plotlines.
At the beginning of the new episode, Chloe was driving and she called into the station for a pastry order. As everyone at the station was telling her what they wanted, she noted that someone was driving erratically on the highway.
The phone went dead and after a few brief and dramatic moments of silence, the tones went off at the station and an announcement was made that there was an accident.

Who plays Chloe on Chicago Fire cast?
It’s actress Kristen Gutoskie who plays Chloe on the Chicago Fire cast. She is relatively new to the show, but she has had a huge impact on the character of Joe Cruz (played by Joe Minoso).
Before joining the show, Gustoskie spent time on Lethal Weapon as Molly Hendricks, on The Handmade’s Tale as Beth, and on The Vampire Diaries as Seline.
The great news is that Chloe survived the dramatic episode, even though she is still in the hospital recovering. It means she should return for more episodes in January when the midseason premiere takes place.

Dramatic cliffhanger for Chicago Fire cast
At the end of the episode, after a date takes place between Casey (Jesse Spencer) and Naomi (Kate Villanova), he wakes up to a fire.
The insinuation is that the fire has been set by people who Naomi was investigating for an article earlier in the episode. It sets up a huge cliffhanger for the Chicago Fire cast that will be dealt with in January.
Chicago Fire airs Wednesday nights at 9/8c on NBC.
