TLC’s epic docuseries 90 Day Fiancé is back with a pre-season special tonight — and here’s a sneak peak of what to expect.
The upcoming Season 4 officially starts on September 11, but tonight’s episode introduces us to the Americans taking part as they prepare for their potential spouses-to-be to arrive from abroad.
For those who haven’t watched it before, 90 Day Fiancé sees US citizens hook up with their potential partners from abroad on American soil for the first time.
They all visit on a K-1 visa, which is aimed at fiancés and fiancées and gives them 90 days to marry or to return home.
90 Day Fiancé follows the US citizens’ fortunes as their international partners arrive, meet the family and try to make things work.
If things work out then they have to tie the knot before the 90 days is done. But things can often go awry meaning the potential matches from aborad have to return home.
Season 4 will feature five couples, including some with really great backstories including Matt, 42, who has had three marriages break down in the past before trying for fourth time lucky with Alla, 30, from Russia — and Nicole, 21, who’s never met her Moroccan fiancé Azan in the flesh before.
Episodes this year will be followed by new spinoff, 90 Day Fiancé: Happily Ever After? which will look back at some of the couples from previous seasons to see where they ended up.
