Last season’s top “ninjas” from NBC’s American Ninja Warrior have been selected to go up against two other teams for the annual USA vs. The World competition airing this Sunday, January 27.

The two-hour special pits Team USA against last year’s winners, Team Europe and for the first time, Team Australia.

After losing to Team Europe during the last moments of last season’s international ninja competition, Team USA is looking for redemption.

The team will be led by Drew Dreschel, who was the “last ninja standing” at the end of last season’s American Ninja Warrior. He will be serving as captain along with 19-year-old Mathis Owhadi and Najee Richardson along with two female ninjas, Jesse “Flex” Labreck and Barclay Stockett.

Although Team Europe is the defending champion, their competing team this year includes a whole new group of people also including two women, professional free-runner Georgia Munroe and stuntwoman Katie McDonnell.

They are both from England. Joining the pair will be top rock climbers, Javier Cano and Iris Matamoros, who are both from Spain and Oliver Edelmann, the first German athlete to compete in the games.
