Celebrity Big Brother is set to begin in just over a week. Season 2 cast rumors have been all over the place for the last few weeks.
Today, the official reveal happened and while some of the names aren’t surprising, the cast was not like the lists that have been floating around.
Who was cast for Season 2 of Celebrity Big Brother?
The houseguests are a diverse bunch, with many different backgrounds. There are actors, reality stars, comics, and athletes.
Celebrity Big Brother reportedly offered Dina Lohan $100,000 upfront, and she clearly took the deal as she is one of the celebrities chosen who have already entered the house.
Along with Lohan, Johnathan Bennett, Tamar Braxton, Kandi Burruss, Tom Green, and Lolo Jones round out the first set of six houseguests chosen to compete.
Kato Kaelin, Joey Lawrence, Ryan Lochte, Natalie Eva Marie, Anthony Scaramucci, and Ricky Williams round out the second set of six houseguests chosen to compete on Celebrity Big Brother.
The combination of all 12 celebrities could bring a lot of drama for the two weeks the show is scheduled to run.
Who was expected to be on the show but isn’t?
One thing that isn’t surprising is that Caitlyn Jenner is no longer on the Celebrity Big Brother list. It was hinted that she would be a part of the cast but pulled out last minute after it was revealed that not every celebrity was getting the same amount of money for being on Celebrity Big Brother.
There was also talk about Perez Hilton going through the process. He wasn’t chosen, and he let social media know he was unhappy.
Bobby Moynihan was also rumored to have been in the running. He, like Caitlyn Jenner, reportedly pulled out over money once it was revealed that some of the houseguests were receiving more money than others.
Celebrity Big Brother begins airing Monday, January 21, 2019, at 8/7c on CBS.
