Chicago P.D. has returned to pick up Season 6 where it left off. The cliffhanger left viewers wondering whether Antonio (Jon Seda) would be leaving the show or if he was just getting a storyline leaving him front and center.
Where did the mid-season finale leave off?
When Chicago P.D. ended, Antonio had pushed a man to his death. While unintentional, the Intelligence unit is caught up in a scandal.
The man assaulted his daughter and Antonio wanted to take a shot at him. Viewers know that Hank Voight (Jason Beghe) doesn’t have an issue with it but when he threw him into what was supposed to be a wall, it ended up being a fake wall and he fell to his death.
This shouldn’t be a huge deal but Antonio had taken narcotics earlier in the day. Without a prescription and with the knowledge Voight had, he should have at home or in rehab. Unfortunately, they are now in a predicament that could end their careers.
Ruzek steps up to help
Adam Ruzek (Patrick Flueger) and Antonio haven’t always been on the best of terms but he is going to step up during the mid-season premiere.
He plans to take the fall if need be, something that doesn’t sit well with Hailey Upton (Tracy Spiridakos). The two have been hooking up and this could change everything for them.
What happens to Antonio and the rest of the Intelligence unit remains to be seen. Chicago P.D. has a way of throwing curveballs at viewers and with the mid-season premiere here, there is no telling what the writers intend to do.
Chicago P.D. airs Wednesday nights at 10/9c on NBC.
