Catfish: The TV Show is back for Season 6 as Nev Schulman and Max Joseph use their powers of investigation to expose and identify love interests who seem a little fishy.
Nev took an interest in the phenomena way back in 2009 when he himself was catfished and filmed it all for a movie. The film spawned the TV show and now the pair travel the country helping hopefuls find out the truth about their would-be partners.
Interestingly it is often the catfish themselves who contact the TV show first, looking for help in coming clean about their lie as smoothly as possible. Nev and Max are then given some details and try to solve the problem from the point of view of the hopeful.
In the premiere episode of Season 6 a woman needs help to idenitfy her mysterious potential mate and enlists the help of the boys.
However, it soon becomes apparent that she may have some skeletons in her own closet…as Nev says “the deeper you dig, the darker it gets.”
