Desus & Mero fans received a present in September when Showtime announced it had renewed their talk show for a third season.
Now, fans are getting an early Christmas present.
Showtime has announced that Desus & Mero Season 3 will be back on TV on January 31, 2021, at 11/10c.
Desus & Mero Season 3 presents Barack Obama
Not only is Desus & Mero coming back for a third season, but they just interviewed one of the biggest guests in the show’s history, if not the biggest guest.
Desus & Mero interviewed President Barack Obama, and it is now available to watch online.
The interview was not what most people might expect and began with Obama slamming Desus and Mero’s basketball skills (they shot hoops with Senator Cory Booker) and claimed they were “good enough to play for the Knicks.”
The three talked about everything from the Bronx, MySpace, the bodega, the BP Oil Spill, the “tan suit” controversy, Joe Biden, Vladamir Putin, his accomplishments, his book, and basketball.

Desus & Mero Season 3
Desus & Mero Season 3 is coming on January 31, 2021.
It doesn’t sound like there will be a studio audience at the start. The duo knows to take the COVID-19 pandemic seriously.
However, the two did purchase a studio in New York before the pandemic and are looking into what they will do.
“If people stay inside and wash their hands and do all of the necessary things for us to be able to do that [we’ll return to the studio],” Mero said. “Our show functions in the studio, out of the studio, on a park bench, on a bus, it doesn’t matter, it’s the two of us that makes the show go.”
“Whatever. For me personally, I’ve got four kids in the crib, so I’d love to go back to the studio. But is it necessary for the show to keep up the quality? I don’t think so.”
There is no idea on how many episodes will air in Desus & Mero Season 3. The first season had 45 episodes, and the second had 60 episodes, for a total of 105 so far.
The show has included politicians like Kamala Harris and Joe Biden, actors like Charlize Theron and Seth Rogen, musicians like the Beastie Boys and Wu-Tang Clan, filmmakers like Spike Lee and Ava DuVernay, and even people like contagious disease expert Anthony Fauci at the start of the pandemic.
