Brittany and Marcelino took Love After Lockup by storm when they debuted on Season 2 of the WEtv show. Their story planned out on reality television and viewers jumped on board to support them.
There have always been critics, something that comes with starring on a reality TV show but despite that, Brittany and Marcelino have been excelling at life.
Monsters & Critics had the opportunity to talk to them earlier this year and then again in the present. Brittany and Marcelino had a lot to say and even revealed some exciting information about what is to come for the happy couple.
Monsters & Critics: Are there any updates you can give us since we last spoke in June?
Marcelino: There have been some major, major updates. As always, we have to be tight-lipped about it. Major revelations.
Brittany: Life After Lockup Season 2, January 3 on WEtv.
Monsters & Critics: Are you watching the newest couples on Love After Lockup and what are your opinions on them?
Marcelino: I don’t. I’ll be honest with you, I don’t. I get my information from Brittany. I check in every now and then. Looking for love out there in these types of circumstances is very different.
Brittany: I do keep up with the show and I don’t know. I don’t know what to say but I mean, I want the best for everyone. Battling addiction is very real and I think that the couples on this season have a long road ahead of them.
Monsters & Critics: Is there any update on Sasha?
Brittany: No, she’s in prison.
Monsters & Critics: Are you in contact with her still?
Brittany: Yeah we talk on the phone and write letters. She talks to Gio on the phone, but she is going to be in there for a while. I can’t go visit her so there’s not much we can do.
Monsters & Critics: How has life changed in the last six months?
Marcelino: Life is on the fast track. We are…. We can give you a little something. Brittany is expecting.
Monsters & Critics: Congratulations! So now you’ll be a family of five?
Marcelino: Yeah and we picked up another puppy.
Monsters & Critics: So how is it with Gio adjusting to being a big brother? Is he totally in love with his little sister?
Marcelino: Giovanni is absolutely the best big brother. Him and Zoila are so in love. She wants to play with him and he wants to play with her.
Monsters & Critics: Where do you see yourself in five years?
Brittany: Busy with kids.
Marcelino: For me, the plan is a little different. I’m trying to establish something for my family. To break the cycle of poverty and leave them something where they can do what they want in this world and not what they have to. I’m definitely working towards that and leaving something for my family.
Brittany: And for me, I’m taking it day by day trying to be a good mom, a good person, a good wife.
Marcelino: I will say this because it is part of the storyline, poker championship. In the next five years, I have my sights on the poker championship, that’s for sure.
Love After Lockup is currently airing Friday nights at 9/8c on WEtv and Life After Lockup will be returning January 3 on WEtv.
