The Fuller House Season 5 premiere date is almost here. Weeks after the cast wrapped, Netflix has revealed when the final season of the show will drop.
When fans last saw the Tanner, Fuller, and Gibbler families, Stephanie (Jodie Sweetin) and Jimmy (Adam Hagenbuch) had become parents to a baby girl. Kimmy (Andrea Barber) was their surrogate, making Stephanie’s dream of becoming a mother come true.
Jimmy decided to ask Stephanie to marry him, while their entire family was there to meet the baby. Season 4 ended on a happy note, with the families each looking forward to their futures.
Last winter it was revealed the Netflix original series was renewed for Season 5 but it would be the final season. The streaming service shared the last season would consist of more episodes than the previous seasons and will be broken up into two parts.
Fans have been waiting for nearly a year for new episodes of the sitcom. Season 4 dropped on December 14, 2018.
The cast wrapped production wrapped in the middle of November. Several of the stars shared footage from their final days on social media. As the lights dimmed on the set, fans were still waiting to hear news regarding when new episodes would drop.
Thankfully though, the wait is almost over. Fuller House Season 5 will premiere on Friday, December 6. Oh yes, in less than a week, the first half of the final season will be released on Netflix.
The streaming service has also dropped a trailer that is filled with some cheesy goodness fans love about the show.
There are no hints regarding how the sitcom will end. However, there is a lot of talk about marriage in the trailer.
DJ (Candace Cameron Bure) wants to marry her long-time love Steve (Scott Weinger), Stephanie and Jimmy are engaged, as are Kimmy and Fernando (Juan Pablo Di Pace). It is safe to say there will be at least one, if not more, weddings in the final season.
Uncle Jesse (John Stamos), Joey (Dave Coulier) and Danny (Bob Saget) aka Papa Tanner, all make an appearance in the trailer. Noticeably absent is Aunt Becky (Lori Loughlin). It was previously reported that Aunt Becky is not expected to return for the last hurrah, due to Lori’s legal troubles
