On last night’s episode of Flipping Out, Heather Madden revealed her finished home to Jeff Lewis and his design team. Heather, who has been on the show for years, finally revealed that the remodel was complete.
Heather was featured on Flipping Out a few seasons ago, sharing her desire to redo her kitchen. The remodel eventually turned into a full-house remodel. As fans saw last night, the entire house, including the outside, was completely done.
Jeff Lewis also revealed that the simple remodel turned full remodel ended up costing the couple close to $3 million, as they didn’t hold back on the finishes. Plus, they still need to play for staging and brand new furniture. But who is this couple, who ended up spending so much money on their home?
Heather Madden seems to be the one running the show at home, with her husband working. He has only filmed a few times when the couple first started working with Jeff. He hasn’t been on this season of the show and his work could be why.
On LinkedIn, Jim Madden explains that he is a private equity investor, and he’s the co-founder and managing director at Carrick Capital Partners. The firm invests in businesses that focus on technology-enabled service-based companies. He also lists himself as being a board member for various companies, including but not limited to Mavenlink and Exiger.
He lists himself as an investor in Saviyent, Inc., Infinia ML, Inc., and Perfect Sense – just to name a few. He also reveals that he works with Accolade Health, Genpact, ServiceSource, Exult, Axiom Law, and Eversprings Partners. Jim calls his specialties investing, business process outsourcing, IT outsourcing, and management consulting.
Jim led a successful IPO of a company in 2000. Exult, one of the companies he’s involved in has more than 600,000 employees and has $20 billion in annual employee payments. We could find no credible net worth for him, but one can imagine that the $3 million remodel wasn’t enough to drain his bank account. You can see the photos below.
As for his wife Heather, not much is known about her. While filming Flipping Out, Heather seemed to be taking charge in choosing what they wanted for the house. By all accounts, she seems to be running the home for the family. No children were ever featured on the show, and it sounds like she cherishes her privacy.
Back in 2010, Heather Madden was featured in an article about the ladies of Orange County, two years after The Real Housewives of Orange County premiered. She was quoted as saying that she likes to stop at low-cost stores like Target or H&M, but that she mixes up her outfit by wearing Manolo Blahnik shoes.
We were also able to dig up her Facebook account, even though it appears to be inactive. The last public post was from 2015, where she encouraged people to sign up for her team for a charity, CHOC.
CHOC Walk in the Park is a charity that raises money to benefit the health and well-being of Southern California’s kids. The foundation’s website reveals they have raised $2.7 million dollars to date. Madden was also mentioned in an article talking about the CHOC Children’s “50 Golden Years of Caring” gala, where she was mentioned as the decor chair.
Flipping Out airs Tuesdays at 10/9c on Bravo.
