JoJo joins Timbaland on hit series The Pop Game tonight — to help the young contestants go back to basics singing acoustic versions of popular hits.
JoJo, real name Joanna Levesque, was just 13 when she became the youngest person ever in the US to have a number-one single with her song Leave (Get Out).
Now 26, her career has gone from strength to strength as she’s developed her image and sound, with millions of album sales to her name and a huge fan following.
Timbaland says: “If anyone knows what it takes to succeed as a young up-and-coming artist, it’s JoJo.”
This week’s The Pop Game is all about stripping it down to the essence of music and artistry as JoJo helps the youngsters prepare to perform acoustic cover versions of popular songs.
JoJo says: “I love acoustic performances. As I’ve done them over the years, they’ve become one of my favorite ways to engage with whatever crowd — big or small.”

The Pop Game airs Fridays at 11/10c on Lifetime.
