Kelly Ripa drops major moving news shaking up her family

Kelly Ripa has seen her life change a lot lately, and she keeps surprising her fans with new updates.

Kelly Ripa is the long-time host of Live with Kelly and lately “fill in the blank.”

It was Live with Kelly and Michael, then Ryan, and now, the latest version, Live with Kelly and Mark.

Mark, her real-life husband, and Kelly had been nervous about this new change. It is one thing to be married for a long time, but now, to work together daily is a new challenge.

Kelly recently told Justin Long on his podcast, Life is Short with Justin Long, that she and Mark thought working together was a terrible idea.

According to Kelly, Mark was worried, “I don’t want to ruin our marriage. I don’t want our marriage to implode if I ruin the show.” 

So, yesterday, when the couple shared they had spent the weekend apart, everyone perked their ears up in case trouble was brewing in their marriage.

Kelly revealed she was in London without Mark

During what is undoubtedly the most entertaining part of Live with Mark and Kelly, the host chat, Kelly and Mark revealed they were not only apart on the weekend but a whole continent away from each other.

Kelly was in London with her daughter Lola, while her husband Mark stayed home. Lola is making the giant leap of moving to London, which will come as major news to fans of the family who know they are extremely close-knit.

Lola has been studying in the British city, but is now apparently moving there full-time.

Kelly told the audience, “I was in London. Our daughter, as you know, is moving to London. I went to help her find a flat.”

Kelly posts on Instagram frequently about her daughter Lola. Most recently for National Daughter’s Day.

Mark loved the idea, telling Kelly, “It’s nice that you got to spend time. Like, a girl’s trip with your daughter. That’s so cool.”

The couple have three children together. Besides Lola, they also have Michael and Joaquin. They get a lot of love on Instagram from Kelly as well.

Kelly and Mark still speak about retirement

Mark spoke to Entertainment Tonight, saying of Kelly’s desire to quit, ” I think it’s a real thing.”

As reported on Monsters and Critics, Kelly said, “I don’t intend to work at this job for the rest of my life. I do talk about retirement with great interest…”

These rumors continue because Kelly spoke to The Purist and revealed she thinks about retiring often.

She was interviewed to promote her bestselling book Live Wire–Long-Winded Short Stories.

Live with Kelly and Mark airs weekdays on ABC.
