National Geographic’s reality show Live Free or Die returns tonight for a third season, as we follow “re-wilders” attempting to live the primitive life.

The show, which first aired in 2014, follows a group of fascinating characters who have shunned modern luxuries and lifestyles to go back to basics in search of a pure life uncluttered by the business of today’s hectic world.

The first episode tonight, called Call of the Wild, sees the onset of winter, and the group have to prepare for the incoming bad weather by stocking up on food and other essentials.

We see Colbert, a former financial adviser who now lives in the swamps of Georgia, hunting for deer while Matt makes some homemade jerky to preserve his meat and Amelia demonstrates how to make her own homemade yogurt.
