SPOILERS from Season 4 finale of Married At First Sight
Finally! The Married at First Sight season finale has happened — but which of the two remaining couples stayed married?
After Heather Seidel and Derek Schwartz opted for a divorce half-way through the season, just two couples were left in the running: Tom Wilson and Lillian Vilchez, and Nick Prendergrast and Sonia Granados.
It had been looking for most of the season that Tom and Lillian had the closest relationship, after Nick and Sonia struggled when they tried to share a home and she moved out.
But tonight’s it’s deadline day as following their second honeymoon the couples have to tell the experts whether they want to stay married and live happily ever after — or get a divorce.
The preview clip for the season finale of Married at First Sight below gave away a few clues, but the decision came down to the wire.
After Sonia moved back in with Nick, things were looking positive for the pair — but could they iron out their differences?
The answer is yes! They decided to stay together.
Sonia said: “Nick and I have a future together. We were matched for a reason, that it could work.”
Meanwhile, while Lillian said she had “given Tom my heart” and couldn’t do anything more, was that be enough for Tom?
He said before the moment of truth: “Lilly isn’t the exact person I was hoping for.”
But as we all know, nobody’s perfect. The question was whether there was enough love there and enough in common to see them through.
Again, the answer was yes! They ALSO decided to stay together.
Tom said: “I definitely think that Lillian’s in love with me and I’m in love with her. I realized that’s the most important thing.”
Married At First Sight Season 4 conclusion:
Both Nick & Sonia and Tom & Lillian decided to stay together!
