On Million Dollar Listing Los Angeles tonight, James Harris is blasted by a client after over-promising to a potential buyer in a bid to seal the deal.
James was hard up against it after showing the buyer around a super-luxurious 4,600 sq. ft. property with $400,000 of custom furnishings and incredible views.
But when he promised to get the seller to pay to knock walls down to create a bigger closet, he over-stepped the mark — and his client wasn’t happy.
The drama goes down on tonight’s episode of Million Dollar Listing Los Angeles after James shows the potential buyer around the high-end property. The buyer is particularly taken with the master bedroom which boasts stunning views of both downtown LA and the ocean.
But there’s one small problem — the closet! The buyer is straight up and says: “This won’t work. This is as small as my closet in Dallas and my wife has twice as much clothing as I have.”
He is also not too keen on one of the guest bedrooms, which he describes as a “bit small” despite it having a wrap-around terrace.
The potential buyer then gives his view, saying: “It’s a very chic house, spectacular view, love the master suite. Really I need another master suite for guests. You’re on target, we’re just not there yet.”
When he walks out James runs after him and makes him the offer to try and land the sale. But later, when he breaks the news to his client, things don’t go down well.
Watch the clip below as James shows the potential buyer around the home, before coming up with the last-ditch idea.
Also on this week’s Million Dollar Listing Los Angeles, Josh Flagg’s teenage client says he is keen on Josh Altman’s Bird Streets listing, which means the two Joshes have to go head-to-head in negotiations for the first time.
Also the huge deal from episode one begins to slip further and further out of James and David Parnes’ reach.
Million Dollar Listing Los Angeles airs Thursdays at 9/8c on Bravo.
