Mom is returning to CBS with a brand new episode and they are bringing back Tammy, played by Kristen Johnston. The next Mom episode will also have recurring actor William Fichtner, as the show celebrates the holidays.
As advertised by CBS, Christy (Anna Faris) is going to search for a perfect Secret Santa gift. While doing so, she finds out that Adam (William Fichtner) has been hiding something from Bonnie (Allison Janney).
In another subplot, Tammy (Kristen Johnston) starts looking for a job. As shown in the preview, she has to get a job or risk going back to prison. It certainly sets the stage for a lot of humor in the next Mom episode.

The return of Kristen Johnston and William Fichtner to Mom cast
Having Johnston as Tammy and Fichtner as Adam has added a lot to the show. They have been in the business a while and both bring something great to the program. The casting director and producers certainly hit home runs with these two choices.
Johnston has a wacky type of comedy that works well in the role of Tammy and may remind some viewers of her time on 3rd Rock from the Sun.
As for Fichtner, he has typically been known for serious roles, of which this one can be called one, but he is also used brilliantly by the writers for deadpan humor.
The new Mom episode is called Foot Powder and Five Feet of Vodka. It will serve as the fall finale for the show, which is probably why all the regular cast members and the recurring guest stars are set to make appearances.
Mom airs Thursday nights at 9/8c on CBS.
