If you’ve ever grown frustrated trying to find that perfect bottle of wine at the store, then Obvious Wines may be the perfect solution for you.
The founders of Obvious Wines believe that you should not spend more time choosing a wine than drinking it.
The wines are simply called what they are: dark & bold, bright & crisp, light & lively and fresh & bubbly. You simply choose the wine you want to drink, and don’t worry about what it might taste like.
Brice Baillie, a native of Champagne, France, admits that he’s a wine snob, but realized that his friends struggled to pick a wine. Not everyone can read labels, so he wanted to connect wine lovers with no knowledge to the best wines available.
A few wineries in California were willing to partner with him, and soon after, he created simple labels that everyone understood.
To get the business going, Brice started out door-to-door selling his wine, inviting people to try out the product, but he has been able to get some shelf space in local stores.
You may have spotted these bottles in your local liquor stores in Los Angeles and San Diego, but the plan is to continue with the expansion. If you aren’t in California, you can still enjoy Obvious Wines.
To get a bottle of Obvious Wines, you’ll have to head over to the company’s website and order your bottle from there. At present time, there’s a free shipping offer if you order more than six bottles.
The liquor industry can be a tricky one, so it will be interesting to see whether the sharks will bite and venture into the world of Obvious Wines.
Shark Tank airs this Sunday at 8/7c for a double-episode night on ABC.
