Will Ashley Martson and Jay Smith be returning to our TV screens? Just days after learning that Ashley filed for divorce from Jay, the 90 Day Fiance star turned around and withdrew them, leaving TLC viewers wondering if reconciliation and possibly a return to reality TV are in order.
Ashley and Jay hit a huge snag in their relationship just days after their Las Vegas wedding when she busted him for spending time on a dating app and talking to other women.
That was the last straw for Ashley, who was ice cold at the Season 6 90 Day Fiance Tell-All, telling viewers that she wasn’t sure what she was going to do with Jay.
Ashley seemed to have her mind made up a few weeks ago, though, when the 90 Day Fiance star filed for divorce. It was reported that the documents were filed on January 11, just three days before Ashley ended up in the hospital after she was found unresponsive in her home.
News of the 90 Day Fiance divorce was first reported by In Touch, revealing that the information was leaked but it’s not clear who may have done the leaking.
Interestingly enough, that same exclusive report was also shared by Jay Smith on Instagram on Wednesday with a “link in bio” message attached to a photo of himself and Ashley at the beach.
Upon hearing the news that Ashley Martson was suffering from a real medical emergency, Jay Smith flew back to the U.S. to be by Ashley’s bedside, a move that likely softened her heart and helped convince her to withdraw the divorce paperwork.
Now, less than two weeks from the initial divorce filing, we’re learning that Ashley has withdrawn the paperwork and it looks like a reconciliation is happening.
So far, neither Ashley or Jay has commented on the divorce news or the withdrawal of the paperwork. In fact, they have both been relatively quiet on social media aside from Jay’s announcement that he was by Ashley’s side and the call to read that In Touch report.
With Ashley and Jay staying married, at least for now, that raises even more speculation that the two will end up on some iteration of 90 Day Fiance, possibly taking up an open spot on Happily Ever After? when the TLC spinoff returns.
Season 6 of 90 Day Fiance has concluded and Season 7 is coming but with all new couples.
