90 Day Fiance star Paola Mayfield posted the haircut she gave her son Axel at home and said it made her nostalgic about the haircuts her own mother would give her when she was growing up in Colombia.
2-year-old Axel’s hair came out pretty well, but the same cannot be said for the Paola’s at-home haircuts of the past.

Mayfield took to her Instagram to show off her work.
She included a side-by-side childhood photo of her own not-so-great hairstyle along with Axel’s new chop.
Paola captioned the post, “You can tell I was thrilled with that incredible haircut my mom did to me ? I’m trying not to do the same to Axel ?.”
With choppy bangs and uneven hair lengths all around, her old haircut pales in comparison to the job Paola did on Axel. The face young Paola is making proves that she did not appreciate her new botched hairdo.
She concluded the post with a simple hashtag — “#whatwasshethinking.”
Mayfield has been notoriously protective over Axel, considering the fact that she previously had a miscarriage before having Axel. 90 Day Fiance audiences saw this protective instinct when Paola didn’t want other people to hold the newborn often. Paola also wasn’t afraid to admit that she still breastfeeds two-year-old Axel.
So it makes sense that Paola wanted to cut Axel’s hair herself; and she succeeded!
Paola and Axel’s striking resemblance
Now that Axel is growing up, Paola has been gushing over his adorable personality; she revealed that he loves “makeup and handstands.” Just like her! The similarities between Axel and his mom don’t end there. Paola’s followers were shocked at how much Axel and little Paola look alike!
As Axel has been getting older, his features have started to more closely resemble his mom. Some also said that Axel still looked a bit like his father Russ Mayfield.
One fan commented, “He is the cutest mix of mommy and daddy!”
But after seeing the side-by-side photos, some argued that Axel looks more like an exact copy of young Paola.
“Omg Twins the blonde hair fools [people] to thinking he looks like Daddy,” another fan wrote.
One fan also noted, “You have the exact same eyes! [red heart emoji].”
Are Paola and Russ going to have another baby?
Earlier this year, Paola hinted at the possibility that she has changed her mind about not wanting more children. Russ has always said that he wants to have more babies, so if Paola had a change of heart, there is a good chance the two could be expanding their family.
The couple also recently announced that they bought a luxury RV to live in, so her followers are looking forward to seeing what kind of adventures the Mayfield clan gets into.
