Adam Glick isn’t going to let a Jenna MacGillivray romance ruin his season on Below Deck Sailing Yacht. The chef took a big chance returning to reality television — much less appearing on the first season of the latest Below Deck spin-off.
There were many ups and downs for Adam during his two seasons on Below Deck Med. The experience taught him several valuable lessons. One of those teachable moments was that he should never get involved with another crew member.
Adam shuts down Jenna
Below Deck Sailing Yacht viewers continue to watch Jenna and Adam flirt with each other in every episode. Adam showed great restraint when a drunk Jenna followed him back to his cabin after a crew night out. Despite being tipsy, the chef sent the chief stew to sleep it off in her quarters.
Although Adam is smitten with Jenna and enjoys flirty with her, he knows all too well that crew hookups can go from harmonious to hazardous in the blink of an eye.
“I’m totally enjoying this flirtatious banter I’ve got going on with Jenna. But I know how quickly, easily I can be infatuated with someone. You’ve got the chef and the chief stew. If this were to go belly up, that would be a disaster,” Adam explained in a confessional for the Bravo show.
The chemistry between Jenna and Adam is real. Fans shouldn’t expect the flirting to stop any time soon, but fans also shouldn’t expect romance to blossom. Perhaps a hookup will happen before the end of the season.
Adam’s past romantic disaster
Below Deck Mediterranean fans will recall that Adam and deckhand Malia White got romantic during Season 2. The two met each other before the show, which was a shock to producers.
After hooking up with Adam for a while, Malia suddenly started paying attention to bosun Wesley Walton. Adam lost it when Wesley became the focus of Malia’s affections. The chef ended up breaking the fourth wall. He looked directly at the cameraman and exposed his relationship with Malia from before the show.
The romantic drama caused Adam to spiral out of control, even sabotaging a guest’s food because he was so overwhelmed with his personal life. Adam’s head was not on straight, nor was he focused on being an excellent chef. He purposely added onions to one primary guest’s dish, who specifically requested no onion in every meal.
Adam Glick’s romance with Malia White almost cost him his job on Below Deck Med. He is not about to let history repeat itself on Below Deck Sailing Yacht with chief stew Jenna MacGillivray.
Do you think that Adam will give in to temptation with Jenna before the end of the season?
Below Deck Sailing Yacht airs Mondays at 9/8c on Bravo.
