Alexei Brovarnik recently became a U.S. citizen, and now, he’s a hero too.
His pregnant wife, Loren, has been shouting out her husband’s praises, and on Sunday, she shared how he saved a man from drowning during a trip to the beach.
It all went down during a trip to the beach while visiting Nassau in The Bahamas, where Alexei and his friend Sean were enjoying the sun and surf.
How Alexei came to be a hero
According to Loren, who is so relieved that Alexei was in the right place at the right time, he and his friend were at the beach just enjoying their day.
They spotted a man who seemed to be very drunk as he swam in the surf. And when he lost consciousness, likely from too much sun and alcohol, the man went under the water.
His friends were on the beach, laughing at the man, and didn’t even enter the water to help him. Alexei went in and ended up pulling an unconscious man, who looked to be around the same size as Alexei, out of the water so that he could receive medical assistance.
Here’s how Loren told the story:
“My husband was watching a guy who was beyond intoxicated, who was with his “friends” who just stood there and watched! The man went into the water and about drowned! As you can see, Alex is dragging out his unconscious body while his “friends” did nothing!”
“We are meant to be in a place in time for a reason! Alex and his friend Sean were meant to be at this beach, at this exact time because if not, who knows what could have happened! My husband saved a man’s life today! And I couldn’t be more proud, yet not surprised at the same time!”
“Meanwhile you can see this guy’s “friends” standing there and then walking away! NOT ONE OF THEM went in the ambulance with him either! It goes to show you may think your friends are your friends, but God forbid something bad happens, would then help you or just stand there and watch you fall?! ”

Loren explains even more about the near-drowning
Prior to sharing the video of Alexei saving the man’s life, Loren went live on Instagram to talk about it.
She urged everyone to share it, not for clout but so that people know just how dangerous it can be for those drinking and playing in the sun.
Loren also put the man’s friends on blast because she said they were laughing and making fun of the guy, and when the ambulance came to take him to the hospital, these guys didn’t even go with him to get checked out.
Now, Loren is telling people to be careful and to be mindful that some friends may not even help even if someone is drowning. She wants everyone to be careful out there!
Alexei Brovarnik deserves all the recognition for saving a man’s life and kudos to his friend Sean too, for quickly recording Alexei’s heroism.
