Below Deck Sailing Yacht Season 2 star Dani Soares is getting real about life as a single mom.
It’s been one wild ride for Dani since she signed on to do the hit Bravo yachting show. Last summer, she was gearing up to head to Croatia to quarantine and become a member of the Parsifal III crew.
Little did she know six weeks of filming Below Deck Sailing Yacht would change her life forever. Dani made life-long friends in Natasha De Bourg, pregnant Alli Dore, and Daisy Kelliher. Plus, she also had a boatmance with Jean-Luc Cerza-Lanaux.
Now Dani’s a single mom with a slew of drama surrounding the father of her daughter Lily. Below Deck Sailing Yacht may have ended, but people can’t get enough of Dani or her likely baby daddy, Jean-Luc.
Dani gets real about life as a single mom
Baby Lily is one month old, and Dani’s slowly adjusting to her new life. However, it hasn’t been easy raising her little girl all alone.
Dani recently did a Q&A on her Instagram Stories to answer fans’ most burning questions. It was there she revealed the hardest part of being a single parent.
“Definitely not having time for myself. I don’t even mean to go drinking or anything. I mean having time to shower, put makeup on, do my hair, sit down, and have a long dinner,” she shared, according to Us Weekly, who captured the Instagram Story.
Having a support system is key for any mother but especially one doing it all on her own. Dani spilled the importance of having friends and family around to help.
“Make sure you’re with your family around. Make sure you have great friends. It’s not easy, and you need as much help as you can get,” Dani expressed.
Dani didn’t plan to get pregnant
Despite speculation that Dani intentionally got pregnant while filming Below Deck Sailing Yacht, she has stated several times the pregnancy was not planned.
Two weeks after having Lily, Dani used her Pita Party program with Daisy and Alli to talk about her new life. Dani shared then that single motherhood was hard and reiterated she did not plan to get pregnant.
When Alli discussed her pregnancy on Pita Party, she and Dani both opened up about unplanned pregnancies. Yes, Dani has been very open regarding the new chapter in her life.
The one thing Dani continues to keep quiet about is naming Jean-Luc the father of her baby. Those who watched the Below Deck Sailing Yacht Season 2 reunion know she stated she only slept with one man during filming, and viewers saw it all play out.
Dani Soares from Below Deck Sailing Yacht intends to keep those interested updated on her life with baby Lily via social media and Pita Party.
