The Big Brother 23 teams have been set. During the season premiere, the BB23 cast was informed that they would be playing in teams for the first few weeks of the season.
To decide how the teams would be formed, host Julie Chen Moonves introduced the new houseguests in groups of four. Each group of four took part in its own challenge.
The winner from each group was named a Team Leader for the season and those four winners were then placed in the Head of Household Competition.
Before taking part in the first HOH Competition of the summer, the Team Leaders got to watch video clips and then draft players onto their respective teams.
Who are the Big Brother 23 Team Leaders?
Brandon “Frenchie” French became the first Team Leader after Julie let the first four guys in the front door. After that, Whitney Williams, Christian Birkenberger, and Claire Rehfuss became the other three Team Leaders.
Once the leaders were set, they got to watch clips and select the people who would be on their teams. This was where a lot of strategies came into play, as each Team Leader was looking for different strengths from their people.
What are the Big Brother 23 teams?
- Team 1 – Jokers: Brandon “Frenchie” French, Azah Awasum, Britini D’Angelo, and Derek Frazier.
- Team 2 – Aces: Whitney Williams, Brent Champagne, Derek Xiao, and Hannah Chaddha.
- Team 3 – Kings: Christian Birkenberger, Alyssa Lopez, Xavier Prather, and Sarah Beth Steagall.
- Team 4 – Queens: Claire Rehfuss, Kyland Young, Tiffany Mitchell, and Travis Long.
The houseguests will compete as teams for a few weeks, meaning a lot of the game talk could involve members of the same teams. Since so many people are also safe from getting nominated at the first Eviction Ceremony, it will be very interesting to see how the Head of Household arrives at decisions during Week 1.
Episode 2 of the season is set for Sunday, July 11 on the Big Brother TV schedule. That’s when we will get to see the Nomination Ceremony and find out who starts out on the block this week. It’s going to be a chaotic few days in the Big Brother house and that could lead to a lot of action on the Big Brother live feeds.
This year, the Big Brother live feeds are available through Paramount Plus.
Big Brother 23 airs Sundays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays at 8/7c on CBS.
