Clare Crawley is getting excited about her upcoming season of The Bachelorette. However, given the current state of the world, she’ll have to wait a little longer.
Before ABC announced that the show wouldn’t be moving forward due to coronavirus, ABC revealed the guys on Facebook.
It didn’t take long for fans to notice one glaring issue. All of the guys were in their mid-20s, with only a few being over 40.
In fact, one of the contestants is 16 years younger than Clare, which means she could be his mother.
That’s clearly a big issue.
Clare Crawley could see older men on her season
Even though Clare has reportedly admitted that she doesn’t mind dating younger men, the coronavirus outbreak is the perfect chance to revisit the original cast members.
The guys were cast before Clare was announced as The Bachelorette, so it only makes sense to revisit those who are not closer in age to her.
And that’s reportedly what is going to happen.
Cosmopolitan is reporting that Chris Harrison is considering recasting some of the guys, so she gets men who are closer to her age.
She’s 38 years old and turns 39 while filming. Right now, the guys that have been cast on her season are closer to the low-to-mid 20s.
Now that her season has been delayed due to coronavirus, Chris Harrison believes there is a chance that Clare could get some new guys.
“The chances are, for everybody to be able to put their life on hold and come back again is very slim. So yeah, we are still casting. So, if you have somebody you think is great for this beautiful woman right here,” he said while talking to Lauren Zima during an Instagram Live session.
Chris also said that Clare could see a mix of the old guys with new guys they will find for her, according to Just Jared.
“There will be some different guys. Maybe it’ll be completely different guys, maybe it’ll be a mixture. Who knows? We really don’t know, with the way the world is right now, with everybody’s schedule.”
Clare Crawley had already filmed a few scenes
Even though her season of The Bachelorette has been postponed, producers managed to squeeze in a few scenes with Clare.
These scenes could be used for her introduction to The Bachelorette.
She was already caught filming in Sacramento with Benoit, her ex-fiance. The two got engaged on The Bachelor: Winter Games but broke up shortly after.
The Bachelorette is expected to air later this spring.
