It’s been just over 24 hours since news of Counting On being canceled hit social media.
The Duggar family has been quiet about what happened. Jinger Duggar and Jeremy Vuolo immediately released identical statements, revealing they agreed with the decision and were grateful for the time with TLC.
As for the other married siblings or Jim Bob and Michelle Duggar, there has been no comment. This is interesting because several of them spoke out following Josh Duggar’s arrest, and now, just silence.
Joy-Anna Duggar and Jessa Duggar promote on Instagram
Both Joy-Anna Duggar and Jessa Duggar did show up on Instagram earlier today. They were both promoting the same pillow and used it in the same way too.
Jessa began her pillow pushing earlier this week and then continued pushing it in her camping video. Joy-Anna took a similar approach and talked about using it in a tent as her big sister did.
Neither has addressed the cancellation of their show. Counting On featured so much of their lives, from their teen years to the birth of their children. Jinger Duggar was quick to push something out, and based on what is speculated, the family knew this a day before it was made public.
Jill Duggar and Derick Dillard have not yet commented either. This is interesting because Derick liked tweets calling for the cancellation following the latest scandal.
The brothers haven’t spoken out either. In fact, many of them remain elusive on social media, with only their wives posting on the joint accounts.
What is next for the Duggars?
As of now, there is no clear indication what will be next for the Duggars. Without Counting On, their reality TV income stream is gone.
Several of the adult Duggars have their own jobs, mainly the brothers. From renovations to flipping houses, there are other streams of income for some of the family members. Several of them have realtor licenses and a few are even pilots.
There is speculation that the Vuolos might be vying for a spin-off based on what they posted and how quickly they spoke out. While that may be the case, they have been working on building their own brand for a while now. Jinger and Jeremy are enjoying California, and it seems to be working for them.
Even if another show isn’t in the cards for any of them, this likely won’t be the last critics, fans, and followers see of the big family.
